Accessibility at The Old Railroad Stop — we want the storefront to be readable on phones and desktops, whether you are filling up at 341 Hiawatha Line, Hiawatha First Nation or shopping gifts and parts online.

What we have already done

  • Skip to content — keyboard users can jump past the header with the skip link at the top of every page.
  • Larger category & menu type — slideshow headings, Shop all buttons, and hamburger links use bigger rem sizes so aisle names stay easy to read on mobile.
  • Clear focus — interactive controls keep a visible focus outline when you tab through the page.
  • Reduced motion — homepage carousels respect prefers-reduced-motion (no autoplay; swipe still works).
  • Pump prices on white — Fuel Prices sit on a plain white strip so the ¢/L figures stay high-contrast.

How we write the site

  • Premium fuel callouts use the 0% ethanol note in larger type under the price figure only (other grades stay aligned).
  • Out-of-stock automotive parts point you to call 705-295-GEAR (4327) instead of a dead end.
  • Cold grocery stays pickup-only; drinks, gifts, and most parts can ship — see Shipping.
