Damage Claim (In Transit)

If a gift or part arrived damaged, we want to make it right. This page is the photo claim path for shipped orders from The Old Railroad Stop (341 Hiawatha Line, Hiawatha First Nation).

Note: Pickup orders and cold-food pickup are handled at the counter — call the store. The restaurant next door is a separate business with its own Google listing.

What to do (3 steps)

  1. Keep the packaging until we confirm next steps (box, wrap, and any courier label).
  2. Take clear photos (phone is fine):
    • The damaged item (close-up of the break/dent/tear)
    • The full item in the opened box
    • The outer shipping carton / label if you still have it
  3. Contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number (or name + ship-to postal code).

How to send the claim

What we usually need

  • Order number and ship-to city / postal code
  • Which SKU / item title was damaged
  • The three photo angles above
  • Whether you prefer a replacement (if in stock) or store credit / refund toward the same order

What to expect

  • We review claims for shipped gifts and automotive parts sold on oldrailroadstop.ca.
  • Stock moves fast — replacements depend on shelf qty; if zero, we say so and offer another path.
  • Returns window for unused items: see Returns & Exchanges (14 days). Damage claims focus on transit damage, not change-of-mind.
  • Shipping rates are at checkout; we do not promise free shipping.
